Confirmation Education and Google

Confirmation class were the first to experience the Google Chromebooks for Education.  A lab created with the help of Calvary's Endowment fund.  The touchscreen Chromebooks are managed laptops that allow an administrator to both open up new possibilities for education through the internet but also to safely use the resources that this medium provides.

Today's experience included using Everyslide to identify on a timeline and map where and when the events we have been studying in Martin Luther's life took place.  We also used Google Docs to create shared journals which allow me to interact and comment on their work.  We closed with a Space Race on the Socrative site to recap what we talked about that day.  Our work continues between Confirmation Labs on a site called Edmodo.

Although each Confirmation Lab is different, this one used the Chromebooks more than usual, since every lesson shapes the many different ways to teach, experience and learn.
