“Nutrition with Cooking ” class
In collaboration with Calvary Lutheran Church, OSU Extension Service Marion County will be offering the “Eat Smart Be Active” nutrition with cooking series on Thursday evenings September 22 through November 17 from 6:30 – 8:00pm at Calvary Lutheran Church, 198 E Fern Ridge Road, Stayton.  The classes will be offered in English and Spanish and are intended for parents of children 0-18 years of age, with limited incomes.   
During the series of classes, participants will learn strategies for eating healthier on a budget, ideas for increasing fruit, vegetable, and whole grains into our diet, ways to keep physically active, and more.

As part of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, OSU Extension provides hands-on, activity-based nutrition education to low-income parents and caregivers.  EFNEP is funded through the US Department of Agriculture.
