What has 2 bands, 3 food trucks, 8 vendors and lots of comfy grass? Calvary's 5th Annual Gig on the Grass!
The Gig on the Grass is a family-friendly free concert open to the public, on Saturday, August 11th . Jess Carter and the Santiam Band will play at 7 p.m. with the bluegrass band, Jericho Road, starting at 5:30, but those attending can arrive as early as 4:30 to set up their quilt on the lawn, peruse the vendors, and grab some dinner.
Raffle tickets will be sold for an assortment of great prizes. Proceeds will benefit the upcoming Santiam Teen Center on Kindle Way in Stayton. The facility is scheduled to open this year. The center will offer tutoring, counseling, snacks, dinner and a place to do homework.
Three food trucks will be onsite to sell to anyone wishing to nosh. New this year will be 8 vendors plying their wares to any wishing to browse.
